RockPaperShotgun Bundle, now with over 1,000% more Dungeons of Dredmor!

RPS_humbleweekly

RPS put together a Humble Bundle with 7 of their all-time favorite games, and Dungeons of Dredmor is in it!

Let’s be honest, you probably have Dungeons of Dredmor already. It’s okay, we all do. But I bet you don’t have the other 6 games that RPS (who share your similar awesome taste in games) thinks are basically the best thing of their respective years?

Didn’t think so. But now’s your chance!

Did I mention how great you look today? You look great today.

Steam Trading Cards for Dungeons of Dredmor; Dredmor Patch 1.1.4 Up!

EDIT: A small fix for a (relatively minor) collection of broken save games has just hit Steam. If anybody else has any problems, please let us know. — Nicholas

I burned out on trading cards at around the Magic: The Gathering’s Fourth Edition (because once you play Leviathan in a real game, is there really anything left to do in M:TG?) but I figure if we’re going to do this trading card thing we have to do it right and provide our lovely, ravening fans with something they’d really enjoy.

So! We went and commissioned Stephanie Larsen (who, by the way, with Chestnut St. Pixel Foundry created the Gaslamp Games logo) to do five six new illustrations of various Dredmorian Subjects. Fun was had!

I’ve also tied the proverbial rudder-wheel of the good ship Gaslamp Art Team with the Rope of Neglect and taken a week off Clockwork Empires to paint five Steam profile backgrounds exploring themes in Dredmor ranging from “recycling existing art but being too obsessive over detail to not repaint it completely” to “meticulously accurate renderings of hematite”. Because we know what you like.

There are also a bunch of random badges and emoticons and Diggles and things.

They should be on Steam. Now go enjoy yourselves!

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE! IT IS NOW PROGRAMMER TIME

Nicholas has now taken over the blogpost to bring you A NEW DREDMOR PATCH. Finally, the damn thing is out of beta and we are ready to bring it to you, our users. Enjoy new features such as THE FOLLOWING CHANGES:

– Diggles now actually dig!
– FIXED: Dual wielding items could cause infinite status buffs.
– “Conversion” support. Items can now augment existing item definitions if they exist. See the mod request thread for syntax.
– FIXED: monsters attacking your summons left over from another level.
– FIXED: random crash w/aquatic monster spawning on entering a new room
– FIXED: mods with cooldown skills not working
– FIXED: bug with Essence’s Essential Skills Pack where kung fu-ing a door will crash to desktop
– FIXED: achievements button misaligned
– FIXED: Steamworks support for x86 Linux
– FIXED: other issues w/x86 and AMD64 Linux builds
– FIXED: Using the Lutefisk Cube on itself in the Pocket Dimension is now Even Cuter.
– Multiple scrollbars.
– FIXED: Inventory filters.
– FIXED: Wand repair achievement.
– FIXED: some monsters can no longer yield XP/treasure/zorkmids
– FIXED: crust tooltips not showing negative damage buffs.
– FIXED: Steam publisher working again. We think.
– FIXED: skills can now require you to have a certain sort of weapon (or shield!) equipped.
– FIXED: held item may disappear when trying to pick up item
– FIXED: stupid broken teaser graffiti
– FIXED: some other stuff? Things? Gah.

Enjoy! (Again, all new stuff is contingent upon us pulling a lever and having Valve process it. Caveat emptor.)

Dungeons of Dredmor: The Game: The New Website

The new DungeonsofDredmor.com now exists in this world! And it’s new! And Brax would very much like you to buy things from it, why don’t you. The prices are absolutely subterranean! (In, say, a series of dungeons, if you will. We all got that? Good.)

Brax does not agree with Batty’s business sense regarding certain expansion packs.

In all, we’re quite pleased to finally have this all put together. You can buy the game from our distribution partners, including Humble, Steam, and Desura, or perhaps pick up an expansion, order up a t-shirt, the game soundtrack, or perhaps your very own adorable stuffed diggle who hates you so much, but not that much. For those of you who bought Dredmor during our placement in the Humble Introversion Bundle, you can now enjoy high-quality, DRM-free expansion packs purchased directly from us (well, via the Humble Store.)

Props to the good folks of Chestnut St. Pixel Foundry for doing the design (drop them a line if you have need of some sort of graphical design — they also did this site, gaslampgames.com, and the Gaslamp Games company logo). Props as well to our own Derek Bonner for doing the coding and smart server type things.

Dungeons of Dredmor for Linux updates!

Dungeons of Dredmor is coming to Steam!  …Again!

First for Windows and Mac, and now, the fabled Linux client.  While the Linux client for Steam is still in a closed beta test, those who have access to it should now be able to purchase Dredmor for Linux (as well as a slew of other great games).  Also, of course, if you are in the beta and already own Dredmor on Steam, you should just be able to download it and give those Diggles what-for.

As ever, the Dungeons of Dredmor binaries available through Steam are DRM free, but if you would prefer some other means of procuring our exotic Linuxian delicacies, we are in the process of rebuilding the DungeonsOfDredmor.com website to include the ability to purchase all of the expansions (as well as a complete pack) through the Humble Store, also DRM free, and for every platform.  Because we love you guys. <3

Diggle News!

Diggles are shipping! People have already started receiving shipping notices saying that a “yellow bird with a white beak in a plastic bag” (plus sketches) are headed their way. International shipping should now also be available to just about everywhere, and anybody who has problems with international shipping should e-mail ShouldBee, our partners in Diggle Crime, at international@shouldbee.com for assistance.

ShouldBee has asked us to note that they have been adding one sketch per *order* – so if you ordered twelve Diggles, you will get twelve Diggles and one sketch. This is because there are a limited number of sketches and we want everybody to enjoy David’s fine doodlings (or, alternately, my programmer art.) If your Diggle arrives, why not let us know? Put up a photo on the forums or in the comments and let the world see your new fuzzy yellow companion.

Happy Halloween, everybody! And don’t forget the Canadian Indie Bundle is STILL ON SALE.

it tasted the rainbow and now it must pay
