Hello i got a real problem with the game. After i create my char and go in the game i got instantly popping window “Finished Tutorial You got Gold Star” I can’t play because of this realy annoying shit. I’ve buyed Humble Bundle with DoD. I need help right now, this game looks very promising to me and i wan’t to play it!
Yeah, that happened to me at first. Just exit the game and play again, it worked for me. There’s a bug in the code where it gets stuck in tutorial mode if you play a tutorial.
I’ve got a bug that’s broken my character/game. I opened a door in level 2 and instantly got teleported to the other side of the room, no demon sigil or anything. From there on whenever I move at all my character does the snap finger animation and teleports back to the spot he was standing at. I took one of those teleportation potions earlier in a failed attempt to get across a moat, but I don’t think that’s what did it cause I walked clear across the map to open that door.
running under Steam on OS X, i tried a new game and all – if i save on level 2 or 3 and then try to load, poof, they crash.
i couldn’t rush to level 4 to check it out, but as long as they release an update i’ll be back playing, up until then this will sit on dust here… unfortunately…
I am having this issue as well. I finally created a character that I was happy playing with and got him to level 8, but needed to sleep. I saved and when I came back to play it last night, the game crashed upon trying to load. I can create a new character with no problem, but I want to play the one I’ve already invested so much time in to. I only have this issue on my Mac. My PC is fine (except for some sort of crazy teleportation loop bug, which I hope was fixed in this latest patch.)

I just wanted to say that I am having the same problem that Mdem64 is having…I’m on a Mac OS X. Just downloaded Realm of the Diggle Gods. Can’t play it again until this thing is fixed; I don’t really want to save to sit down and play through the whole darn thing at once. I have no doubt you guys will fix it up right quick. Thanks!

Happened to me too, “borrowed” the game first from a friend who bought the humble bundle, but got it when it was steam deal. Ever since I installed Realm of the Diggle Gods the savegames crash. Every single one. Well, one time the autosave worked fine… But that was once.
It’s so sad because I LOVE DoD!!! But it’s exhausting playing all at once…
I also run a MacBookPro on OSX, so glad that there are some great games that work on it!
Please work on a patch, so that the savegames don’t crash anymore!

I’m running on OSX. Loading a saved game crashes ~80% of the time. Would like to play, but not worth it if I cant save. Probably the worst bug I’ve ever dealt with.
I’m on OSX (Snow Leopard) and played the game just fine on Tuesday. Since yesterday I have the load/crash bug like a lot of other people, which is a real bummer because this game is downright awesome. The hotfix provided by Gaslamp on their blog does not work for me, I still can’t open any of my savegames from past level 1 without the game crashing to desktop. Hoping this gets fixed soon so I can back to pummeling diggles.
For everyone (at least on OS X) experiencing loading issues, go fetch the hotfix from Gaslamps blog and put it in the Contents/MacOS folder of your Dungeons of Dredmor app (which is somewhere inside the Steam folder I think). Go Gaslamp for the quick fix!

Partially confusing instructions on the Gaslamp Games Blog. I got the 1.09 hotfix working and loaded my old save game. Here are the instructions on how to apply the 1.09 hotfix for Mac:
Replace the executable “dredmor” found here:
~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/dungeons of dredmor/Dungeons of Dredmor.app/Contents/MacOS/
with the dredmor 1.09 hotfix executable. (I recommend backing up the old executable for safe measure)
Goes without saying, but if you drop “dredmor” into the ~/Applications/Dungeons of Dredmor.app/Contents/MacOS/ shortcut, the hotfix will not work.

I’ve just a question : where should I report bugs ? I think there is one with items that improve crafting skills. Here they don’t improve the skill

I recently bought your game, and it is awesome. However, I believe I ran into a peculiar bug that only I have experienced so far.
The thing is, during one of my countless attempts to beat the game, I’ve left my game running for 3 hours while doing something else, and when I came back, sound was not working anymore. I know it’s somewhat there, there’s still those lag spikes when there’s a change in the music.
I’ve tried muting/unmuting, reinstalling the game (bought it via Steam) and nothing works.
I saved my game on level 5 (not my first time saving and quitting on that playthrough). I come back to the game, and go to load game to find that there’s nothing there! I still have a save file in my computer’s files for the game, but can’t get them to register in the game
As of December 2011 I bought DoD from Steam. Initially it worked, but now it has become bug infested to the point of being unplayable. I cannot load any saves I have (will crash) and entering a staircase (even from the first floor) causes the game to auto-crash.
I am running this on a Windows 7 x64 machine with adequate graphics capability.
I’ve just purchased this game today and it appears to be running fine, except for the game doesn’t seem to be recognising my right-clicks? I’m using a Mac. I’m unable to use spells or crossbows as ctrl and click just doesn’t seem to do anything.

My game has been screwed up with the last update. It plays fine and saves fine but when I go to open a saved file, the game quits on me…..
I can play the game but I have to start over from the beginning each time. Hmmm

Add me to the list. I too crash back to the desktop on loading a save game (saved on level 2). Like others I’m using Steam on OS X (Lion).
Hopefully this will get resolved soon as I’m really enjoying the game so far.

What about a monster zoo cleaning with the fireballs? Sometimes it crashes game and generally causes multi lvl up (2 to 3 ).
