The Floor is Yours…

Our website traffic is down a bit – down 29.98% from last month, according to Google Analytics. Now admittedly that includes a spike of traffic from the SomethingAwful forum goons (hi, Forum Goons!) which is probably a one-time event, but it seems awfully quiet around these parts.

So why not introduce yourself down in the comments? Say hello! We don’t bite. Tell us who you are, why you’re here, what you want to see in Dredmor… and maybe what you might want to see from Gaslamp Games in the future. Go on, don’t be shy.

Hello there! I’ve been tracking the Dredmor progress for quite some time. I’d like to know, why is there a beta mailing list? (I didn’t receive any mail from it yet). And… will there be a public beta or anything like beta invites? 🙂

Hi artfwo. First I’d like to thank you for following our progress. It’s always nice to know we have fans in the waiting. We do in fact plan to use the mailing list for a large scale beta test. This most likely will be once we hit version 0.9 and are ready for a larger number of players.

Just a Roguelike-enjoying character from GA, USA here—curious to see just where this crazy Dredmor ride goes. I suppose the main appeal to Dredmor to me would be a Roguelike overflowing with style and panache. A whimsical Grindhouse of Roguelikes perhaps?

In a far flung future, well, pretty much the same attitude with good replay value/variety and whatnot would be swell even if not purely a Roguelike in nature. I’d love to see Dredmor grow well into the future via Expansions, Sequels, etc though.

Hello people who follow Gaslamp for some reason! I like you. You’re all probably both intelligent and attractive.

And clearly I need need to finish those comics (to say nothing of the latest round of UI-revision-hell).
Or we should make some more controversial posts here, perhaps start a hip-hop style feud with another game developer. That’d end well.

Hey devs. Count me in as a SA forum goon who heard about it from someone over there, expect more traffic once there’s a beta and people start talking about it or making a thread. This game is very promising for me cause I don’t like ASCII (don’t kill me roguelike people) but love roguelikes. The art is awesome and it looks hilarious. *insert shameless self promotion hoping for a beta invite here*

Well, considering I have now got people talking about DoD on both Linux Gaming News and LinuxGames as well as protecting your Wikipedia presence, guess I should introduce myself here. Keep up the good work guys, good to see a proper Canadian Indie game developer.
