(Technical features about the fire: we tag an item using the tags system as either being ignitable at a certain temperature, or burning at a certain temperature. Heat is diffused using ye old standard “put 255 points of burning wherever it says there is burning in a map on the world”, and then diffused using a standard blur algorithm so that heat falls off nicely from the fire. Once something with an ignition tag is in a square with the fire, it ignites, and then gets the burning tag put on it. Items will eventually burn up, blow up, or go out after they have been on fire for a sufficient length of time. This is all in 45C, which is now in the experimental branch. FIRE! Thank you.)

I think the colonists should attempted to extinguish fires by finding the nearest body of water, forming a line, and using the bucket system.

You said “this is all in 45C” and I was like “that’s an awfully low temperature for things to be burning at” before realizing it’s a version number.

    I’m smart.
