Awhile back there was a comment that we needed a forum.  I dug around and came up with bbPress which was simple but devoid of any features and was a waste of space.  Our current forums, Vanilla, were a quick and dirty upgrade which we thought wouldn’t get much use.  How wrong we were.

Tonight at 8pm Pacific time I will be locking the forums and stopping all new user registrations in preparation of the new software, XenForo.  In this time I will be importing all users from WordPress, our current master database, into XenForo.  Your passwords will be maintained through this move but feel free to change your password after the move.

All the current threads in the forum will be moved over as well.  There will be some elements missing from these new forums.  Links and images will not be moved over but the text for those will be in the posts.  Avatars will also not be moved over but will still be at their original location for a limited time if you wish to simply move them over.

Once logged into the new forums I encourage each of you to spend some time in your profile looking over the settings.  In addition there are some privacy settings which you will be able to find at http://gaslampgames.com/community/account/privacy once you log in.  Make sure you you are happy with what information you are displaying to the rest of the world.

We hope that you all like the changes as much as we do.  I’ve personally spent the better part of the past three weeks getting this together and am quite proud of the results.
